Zaragoza waits patiently for your return
Yes, I am still here.
I am with you.
I am the same as ever, whether full or empty.
Let’s make a deal: you stay at home and I promise you not to go away.
Those out there are the ones watching over you and all of us.
My streets, monuments, little corners…wait patiently for your return. And they look at you from the outside with pride.
Thank you for doing it so well. Thanks to this commitment, yours and theirs, the warmth will return sooner than we imagine.
We will come back to the endless afternoons of tapas, to the walks, to the the river that flows today peacefully, to these moments of fervour in red, blue and white and to the festivities full of joy and diversity.
The routine will also return, with its alarm clock, crowded trams and the rush…
You never thought you would miss them, did you
I do really miss you. I want to feel your feet on my ground again, your joy walking my streets, your laughter, your hugs, your toasts. May you fill me with life again.
We have never given up. And we are not going to do it now. Because together, we are already winning.
Thank you.
