Every year since 1977 International Museum Day is organised worldwide around May 18. The Service of Culture of Zaragoza takes part in a new edition of this international call with a wide range of activities that will be developed throughout the week at the different museums of the city.

As well as Open Days in the museums, Pablo Gargallo Museum and archaeological Roman museums (Forum, River Port, Public Baths and Theatre of Caesaraugusta) have organized several activities until May 21. Also, Fire and Firefighters Museum has programmed temporary exhibitions and conferences, which will take place on 18, 19 and 20 May to celebrate this great event about culture.

This year, museums will host culinary conferences and tastings through the cycle “Cooking culture”, theatrical performances, a concert of guitar and workshops will be developed.

Activities in family, historical recreations and guide visits are also scheduled. The documentary Pablo Gargallo, the luminous sculpture?, directed by Emilio Casanova, will be screened and there will be a photographic challenge to get the funniest and the most original photograph taken at any of the municipal museums.
