Citylogo meeting in Zaragoza
From 22 to 24 October, Zaragoza hosted the last Citylogo workshop. Citylogo is a European project that aims to improve the ranking of cities, increasing differentiation and visibility, both continental and global levels, and strengthen the communication dimension in urban management. It consists of representatives of 10 European cities in different countries: Aarhus (Denmark), Alba Iulia (Romania), Oslo (Norway), Coimbra (Portugal), Dundee (UK), Genoa (Italy), Utrecht (Netherlands) Vilnius (Lithuania), Warsaw (Poland) and Zaragoza (Spain).
Attendees were impressed with the infrastructure of the city. The meetings were held in the Paraninfo, the City Hall of Zaragoza and ETOPIA_. This way they could appreciate the Zaragoza architecture of the last three centuries: the Paraninfo of the nineteenth century and the twentieth Hall ETOPIA_ XXI. Although he had a heavy work program, European representatives enjoyed both the cuisine of the city and the typical products, as several examples of historical and cultural heritage of the city with visits to Wall Parroquieta La Seo, masterpiece of Aragon (declared World Heritage by UNESCO art) Mudejar and Goya at the Basilica del Pilar and the Ibercaja Camon Aznar Museum.
They also enjoyed a walk around the Expo site, a visit to the Aquarium of Zaragoza, where they watched the views of the area from its lovely terrace, and a visit to the Water Tower and sculpture Splash. The day ended with a presentation on ETOPIA_ city where we show you a Zaragoza contrasts between tradition and modernity, history and art, and the best choice to host various events given our good connection and communication with other major Spanish cities.
