Lately, Zaragoza and China walks hand in hand: the 2nd Chinese Friendly Cities Conferences, visits of Chinese bloggers Penny and Murong, the presentation of new touristic brochures and guided tours in Chinese, the increasingly number of visitors coming from the Asian giant… And now, we also draw in Chinese.

Last week it was announced the winner of the Contest to choose the poster of the gastronomic event “Certamen de Tapas 2014”. The award went to the graphic design student Rui Xu, which studies at the School of Design in Zaragoza. This 23 years old boy was born in China and has been living in Zaragoza with his parents for the last 10 years. Graphic design is his passion and in 2012, Rui Xu was runner up in the poster competition of Huesca’s Festival of San Lorenzo with his poster “The art of communication.”

We will soon see Xu’s poster on the streets of Zaragoza to promote the “XX Concurso de Tapas de Zaragoza y Provincia” which will be held from 3rd to 13th June 2014 . To learn a little more about this young artist, here you can see an interview by El Periódico de Aragón.

There’s no doubt that Zaragoza is a real Chinese Friendly City.
