During the Fiestas del Pilar: eat on the street
During the Fiestas del Pilar people don’t stop at home (maybe just to sleep a little). Concerts, plays, shows and fairs keep us going from one side to another; but at some point, you’ll have to eat. We show you different gastronomic possibilities that you can enjoy during the Fiestas del Pilar to eat on the street.
In the Paseo Echegaray, flanking the Puente de Piedra there are stalls where they offer grilled meat (sausages, black pudding, sausages, ribs… ), traditional roasted ham, bread (you can see how they bake it), nuts and sweets (cookies, cakes, candies… ), wines and spirits, and roasted potatoes (which usually have a lot people lined up to get one). Some of these places have tables and benches to eat there. But you can also enjoy your lunch on the benches of the Paseo viewing the Ebro.
In the Plaza de Los Sitios there is the Fair of Aragonese Food. In these booths they sell handmade and ecological products. You can find meats, cheeses, honey, jams and chocolates of many flavors, saffron, oils, wines…
Next to the Plaza de Los Sitios athere is located the Carpa del Ternasco. Here you can enjoy delicious tapas and lamb sandwiches and daily specials.
Finally, in the Plaza de Aragón there are the regional houses where you can taste the traditional dishes of the different Spanish regions.
See the map below to find this locations and enjoy your meal! 😉
